Oct. 6th, 2025
the Commons
5 PM

“The Moon Festival (also known as Mid-Autumn, Harvest Moon, or Mooncake Festival) is a traditional festival celebrated in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and other East and Southeast Asian countries. This holiday honors the full moon, which symbolizes prosperity, unity, fortune, and fertility.”
(https://calendar.utulsa.edu/event/moon-festival/) TISOs led this event
The space created by this event was one that students who celebrate Moon Festival could celebrate their culture and feel supported/seen on campus. It was also an opportunity for students to learn more about another culture if it is not customary for those students to celebrate moon festival.
