The mission of AFA is to use acting and improve activities to help animators and other artists in their own work as storytellers. Acting is an important skill for animators and this club will give students a safe place to practice acting in a safe and supportive space. Acting is a great way to break out of our shells and work with others in a fun and exciting way. To act as a platform for people interested in tabletop games and other board games to meetup and form groups to play. There will also be regular meetups and events to help enhance and create new experiences.

Members will be able to attend all weekly activities and games. First we have our "One-Shot Sunday" where a new role-playing game system is chosen every month and then played in a short one-shot game. Next is our board game night where members will have free access to all club-owned games and can even introduce their own games to other members. There is also our activity night where members can attend a weekly planned activity, such as a "voice acting night" where members can practice voices and accents for their roleplay character. Lastly, the club also has a "Game-Master" class where members can learn how to run tabletop games for their friends or other club members.

Additionally, character sheets are provided for free by the club and dice are provided during game nights if a member has none. There is also a rental system where any club member can rent any book or board game for free* (security deposit required for rental, if there are issues then the club can accommodate.)

Our mission at the Anti-AI Alliance at Otis is to combat the increasing use of generative artificial intelligence within our school. We believe that generative AI has no place within any art medium, and we wish to prevent its introduction before it is integrated into our academia. Art should be created by a person’s own two hands, regardless of whether it is digital or physical.

The mission of Club Up-Cycle is to minimize our contribution to the fast fashion industry and textile waste buildup crisis, while creating a space for students to collaborate over a shared interest. Organizing "mini flea market" like experiences on campus in which students can donate items in exchange, or make a purchase. For example, you bring in five items, you can shop and take away five "new" items. Club members will help to collect, sort through, and decide what is ready to go on a rack. If someone has a creative vision with an item, can modify it in any way they like. In bi-weekly meetings, members will help to sort through clothing, make modifications either on or off campus, organize mini flea market events, and volunteer to help run events to be held on campus.

Counseling and Psychological Services is here to support you in attaining greater understanding about yourself, your relationships with others, and to help you to identify strengths and solutions for overall wellness and academic success at Otis College. We provide support in the form of individual therapy, crisis services, and outreach/programming, as well as consultation to those who are interested in reaching out to a student in distress. We also facilitate connection to other Otis College resources and community providers when indicated.

Counseling can help facilitate overall well-being by assisting you in problem-solving, gaining insight and developing useful coping and self-care strategies. Talking to a therapist can be helpful if you are struggling with adjustment to college, identity development/phase of life issues, stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, depression or other mood problems.

Confidential counseling services are free of charge for currently enrolled full-time students.

Fishing club is a welcoming and experimental space where we encourage students to fish at local piers! This club will teach members how to fish, as well as proper ways to identify and prepare fish to eat. Fishing club also encourages its members to bring their art outside, whether it's sketching people on the pier or bringing a plein-air painting set! The Otis Student Learning Center fosters intellectual, personal, and creative development through academic support to empower students’ growth as independent learners and responsibly engaged community members in the field of art and design.

We facilitate the process of cultivating authentic expression through on-campus and online tutoring, success coaching, labs, workshops, and other programming.

We act as student advocates by continuing to develop our services in ways that respect diverse ways of knowing and learning.

The mission of Women in Animation is not just a statement, but a call to action for those wanting to go into the industry or simply have a love for animation. This will be an inclusive environment intended to foster community and connect the bridge between our institution and the larger artistic and professional world. We will also offer members animation-based team-building events, industry resources, and professional development opportunities. The WIA Women in Animation Club begins with its name, which is an organization that dedicates itself to advancing the role of people who identify as women, including non-binary individuals, within the field of animation. They strive to create a workforce within the industry where women can share all levels of creation, production, and acknowledgment.
Those who identify as women only make up twenty percent of animation creatives, even though they make up sixty percent of animation students. Women in Animation’s goal is to support women who are underrepresented in the industry with resources and support so that by 2026, this percentage in the workplace will be equally represented.

In our club, we seek to support other underrepresented and undervalued voices within the animation industry, which, among others, includes black, indigenous, people of color, and people with disabilities. Our club welcomes anyone who wants to share these ideals and be a source of support for each other. We are committed to creating a space where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their background or identity.
